To begin the quest, you must find the Hunter (M16,6) in The Hissing Wastes. He appears in various places, frequently near campsites. The only guaranteed location to find him is to the west of the first campsite, where you begin exploring this area. Once you speak with him, he informs you of a large beast – a Varghest (M16,6a) – that haunts the northern region of the map.


You will find the Varghest in a large depression near the edge of the map. It is easily recognizable by its greenish skin, and there are also several weaker wyverns in the vicinity. Once you defeat the Varghest, the quest is complete – you do not need to search for the Hunter. It is essential to search the beast, as it is a legendary creature and you may uncover interesting crafting materials.
