Elex 2: Becoming a Paladin – Walkthrough

In this Elex 2 guide, we provide a walkthrough for the mission “On the Road to Becoming a Paladin.” You’ll have to make a crucial decision between the Berserkers and Claws factions.

This page covers the walkthrough for the second and final quest of the Berserkers faction, “On the Road to Becoming a Warrior,” and how to choose between the Berserkers and Claws.

  • Clearing the mines of monsters
  • Choosing between the Berserkers or Claws
  • The path of the Berserkers
  • The path of the Claws

Clearing the Mines of Monsters

At the start of the mission, you’ll learn about the monster attack on Scrappy’s mine. You’ll have to kill all the enemies, and the nearby guards and miners will aid you in the fight. After defeating the monsters, return to Rat in the Fort.

Choosing Between the Berserkers or Claws

Your next mission from Rat involves stealing a book from Hector, the leader of the Claws and Outlaws. This is where you have to decide which faction to side with and ultimately determine which faction’s highest rank you can achieve. You cannot complete missions for both factions.

  1. If you choose to complete Rat’s quest, you’ll side with the Berserkers and unlock the chance to become a paladin, which grants you access to the Berserkers’ best weapons.
  2. If you choose to complete Yasma’s quest, you’ll side with the Claws and lose the chance to become the highest rank in the Berserkers. However, you’ll gain access to the Outlaws’ abilities and equipment.

To collaborate with Yasme, you must not have destroyed the Claws as part of “The Berserker’s Trust” mission. We’ve covered this topic on the “Thieves Guild – How to Join?” page.

The Path of the Berserkers

If you decide to help Rat and side with the Berserkers, head to the top of the Crater. Go behind the left part of the building where Hector is located. Then, use the jetpack to reach the balcony from the screenshot above.

You’ll arrive at Hector’s quarters this way. The chest is to the left of the balcony entrance, where you’ll find the book you’re searching for. Return the item to Rat. After your character reaches level 30, you can advance to the highest rank in the Berserkers faction and complete the quest.

The Claws’ Route

If you opt to proceed with Yasma, your goal is to steal the book from the Berserkers’ barracks. The barracks is situated in the upper section of the Fort, and Halle, the Berserkers’ skills trainer, is standing in front of it.

Enter the barracks and head towards the end of the room where the safe is located. Use the code 9813 to open the safe and obtain the book. Take the loot to Yasme, then to Hector. If your character is at least level 30, you’ll receive an invitation to join the Outlaw faction.
