Adding the dog to your team

Boom Boom is a stray dog that you will come across while completing missions in Valle De Oro. To add the dog to your team, start by completing the Meet Maximas Matanzas quest, which is an introduction to the region.

At camp Maximas, you will find an interactive note that unlocks the Boom or Bust Yaran story commissioned by Juan Cortez when you read it.

The Boom or Bust quest involves visiting Feroza. You need to search the area for containers to find the one that contains a weapon transport. You can open the containers by shooting their padlocks.

Boom Boom will be hiding in one of the containers. After some time, the mission will end, and Boom Boom will join your Amigo/pet list.

Traveling with Boom Boom the Amigo

Boom Boom is a stealth Amigo. Its primary feature is the ability to search the bodies of enemies for loot. Additionally, Boom Boom can assist you in tagging enemies and wildlife. Although Boom Boom is not entirely defenseless in direct combat, it is not as effective as Guapo or Chicharron.

Boom Boom’s unique abilities include:

  1. Pointer – This challenge requires Boom Boom to collect resources from 10 dead opponents. It allows the dog to tag the positions of enemies and wildlife, reducing your need to use your smartphone to survey your surroundings frequently.
  2. Expert Tracker – This challenge requires Boom Boom to tag 24 wild animals. It is easy to complete this and the Thick Coat challenge when traveling in a vehicle with Boom Boom as a passenger (example in the attached screenshot). This ability allows Boom Boom to tag targets from a greater distance.
  3. Thick Coat – This challenge requires Boom Boom to tag 50 opponents. It increases the dog’s resistance to enemy attacks.
