Wookiee Rescue

After completing the stealth mission, you will return to space and head towards the Steadfast spaceship to dock. But, beware of the stormtroopers on the way. Avoid their grenades and follow the corridors to the locked passage. Use Influence to control the sleeping stormtrooper and pull the lever to unlock the passage.

Continue to the blue circle for new cut-scenes. Once you regain control, fight your way to the room where Chewbacca is held captive.

Delta 3-6, Transient 9-3-6, Bearing 3-2

In Kef Bir Space, fly to the new marker and confirm your progression in the story.

Relics of the Empire

Your objective now is to reach the Death Star II ruins. Head to the shore and jump on the machine to cross the high waves. Continue until you reach the ruins.

During exploration, Rey and BB-8 need to work together. If playing alone, switch between characters to reach the higher levels. To progress the story, find the Wayfinder.

Lower the metal bridge by selecting BB-8 and grabbing the hook in the partially flooded, large hall.

The heroes need to reach one of the higher levels:

  1. As Rey, you can jump to ledges and protruding edges, and grab onto ropes if necessary.
  2. Playing as BB-8, you can use the edges as hooks to pull yourself to them one by one.

Your objective is to have BB-8 use the blue terminal from screenshot no. 1. Complete the ring spinning mini-game to make the platforms temporarily eject, requiring you to jump on them as Rey (screenshot no. 2).

At the top, push the crate and drop it to the lower level. Then, build a springboard and continue your journey.

The remaining climb can be done by any character, but using Rey should speed it up. Leap to the edges of the tower-shaped structure and then jump onto the hanging objects. After reaching the final ledge, a linear corridor leads to the starting point of The Strength to Do It level.

The Strength To Do It – challenges

  1. Shocking! – Activate the electrical hazards to damage Kylo Ren. See the walkthrough of the third part of the Kylo Ren boss fight for details.
  2. Dark Lord of the Surf – Pull Kylo within range of the breaking wave. See the walkthrough of the third part of the Kylo Ren boss fight for details.
  3. Golden Opportunity – Find your way through the Death Star without opening any doors. This challenge is available only in Free Play mode. After defeating Kylo Ren for the first time, ignore the unlocked side rooms for BB-8. Select a character from the Villains class, destroy the obstacle blocking the red terminal in the screenshot, and interact with it.

  1. The alternative path from screenshot no. 1 will be unlocked, allowing you to skip stepping on the buttons as BB-8.
  2. After reaching the other side, shoot down the golden pipes as any character from the Bounty Hunter class. This will reveal the hook, which you can use to complete the challenge.

Walkthrough – the first part of the Kylo Ren boss fight

The strategy during the fight is to damage Kylo Ren by throwing your lightsaber or fighting him aggressively in melee.

Dodge Kylo’s attacks. His strong attacks are telegraphed with red lines or circles. Kylo Ren can grasp you with the Force, forcing you to mash the directional buttons to break free.

At the end of phase one, overpower Kylo Ren by mashing the displayed button.

In order to reach Kylo Ren, you must solve some environmental puzzles along the way. You can control either Rey or BB-8 to progress to the next area. If you choose Rey, you’ll need to run along the left wall, while choosing BB-8 will require you to enter a hole to the right and go through some small tunnels. Once you reach a pit blocking the way forward, select Rey and move a stone block with the Force to push it into the pit. Then, switch to BB-8 and pull an interactive hook nearby to unlock a small tunnel. BB-8 must help Rey cross the pit by standing on a button while Rey grabs onto a bar and jumps across protruding elements. Cut open a wall with Rey’s lightsaber and switch to BB-8 to complete a mini-game and unlock the way forward to face Kylo Ren again. The second phase of the Kylo Ren boss fight involves depleting his second health bar using your lightsaber and dodging his attacks. The floor will collapse, but you don’t need to do anything while hanging over the pit. In the new area, watch out for waves telegraphed with red lines and climb onto a large round object to reach Kylo Ren for the final time. In this phase, you have more ways to damage Kylo Ren than just your lightsaber.

New Methods to Defeat Kylo Ren in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

There are a few new methods to defeat Kylo Ren in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The first one involves using BB-8 to grapple hooks found around the area. By ripping out the hooks, electric discharges are generated which can electrocute the boss if he touches them. However, be careful as it can also electrocute Rey. The camera is always focused on Kylo Ren, so you can easily back up into the discharge accidentally. See picture 1 for an example.

Another method is to lure Kylo into a large wave. If you notice a wide red line during the duel, immediately back away. Kylo will follow you and there’s a large chance the wave will knock him down. This will help you achieve the Dark Lord of Surfers challenge.

During the third phase, you can deplete the boss’s health bar three times using the methods described above or just your lightsaber. When your blades lock, be ready to fight back against Kylo.

The finale of the fight involves some complex QTEs. You must press the buttons displayed on the screen several times to complete the QTEs and finally win this long duel.
