Find Paladin Danse

Upon completion of the Liberty Reprimed quest, Ingrid will initiate a conversation with you that will automatically start the Blind Betrayal quest. To learn more about the mission, speak to Elder Maxson aboard the Prydwen.

You will discover that Paladin Danse is actually a synth during this conversation. If your charisma is high enough, you can convince Maxson that you were unaware of this fact. After the conversation, speak to Proctor Quinlan. At some point, Haylen will join the conversation and you will be instructed to follow her. Once you reach the lower deck of the ship, speak to Haylen to learn about Danse’s possible location.

Listening Post Bravo – Danse’s hideout.

Travel north to Listening Post Bravo to reach Danse’s hideout. Enter the bunker and activate the elevator using the terminal. Once you reach the bottom, you will encounter a few enemy robots. In the room at the end of the bunker, you will find Danse. During the conversation, you can choose to spare or kill him.

Kill Danse

Retrieve Danse’s holotag as proof of his death.

If you choose to fulfill Maxson’s order, you must kill Danse. He will not fight back, so simply use a weapon to shoot him. Retrieve his holotag from his body and return to Maxson on the Prydwen to complete the quest. You will be promoted to paladin and receive Danse’s old power armor.

Save Danse

Danse’s old T-60d power armor can be found in the workshop on Prydwen’s main deck.

If you choose to spare Danse, do not agree to his execution during the conversation. You can also use charisma to convince him to spare Danse. After the conversation, leave Listening Post Bravo and both you and Danse will meet Elder Maxson. During this conversation, you can once again choose to kill or spare Danse. If you have high charisma, you can convince Maxson to let Danse go. Once Maxson leaves, speak to Danse to decide his fate. You can allow him to stay in the Commonwealth and even travel with you. Return to the Prydwen and speak to Elder Maxson to complete the quest and receive Danse’s old power armor.

Rewards: Experience points, paladin rank, T-60d power armor.
