Cozumel Chests, Relicts, and Documents | Shadow of the Tomb Raider Secrets

Cozumel is the first location you’ll visit in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It’s a separate area of the map that you can revisit at any point. In this zone, you’ll find two relics, one treasure chest, one document, and three survival caches.

  • Documents
  • Treasure Chests
  • Relicts
  • Survival Caches

Documents

Rearguard Report (1) – You’ll find this document in the northern part of the location, near the passage to the other side of the cave. The document is located right next to the survival cache.

The document is on a bright wall, but it’s not very visible. When Lara approaches it, the game will automatically indicate that something is there. When you pick up the item, you’ll realize that it’s the first document available in the game.

Treasure Chests

To open the Gold Mask (1) treasure chest in Cozumel, you’ll need a lockpick. You can purchase one from the Moraekah merchant. Check out our separate guide section on where to find Moraekah the Merchant (Where can I find Moraekah the Merchant?).

To reach the chest, you’ll need to return to Cozumel. Use a rope to cross over, then cut it and tie it to the next point. Cross the rope to the other side, and you’ll find the Gold Mask chest.

Relicts

Ceramic Jar (2) – At the far right end of the main room, climb up to the platform on the right side of the wall. There, you’ll find the ceramic jar.

Carved Bowl (3) – This relic can be found underwater.

Survival Caches

First Survival Cache (1) – It’s located underwater.

Second Survival Cache (2) – You’ll find it to the right of the cave entrance. It’s not hidden, but it’s in a dark corner.

Third Survival Cache (3) – To obtain the last package in this location, descend from the wall and jump to the next shelf. We’ve shown you where to perform this maneuver in the above screen.
