Find a Route Towards the Coast
Begin traversing through the forest. You’ll come across a vast clearing, where Hugo will propose a race towards a large tree. Upon reaching there, you’ll come across a feather for Hugo’s Herbarium – Jay.
Inquire About the Path to the Coast
Keep going until you arrive at a pilgrims’ camp. After conversing with one of the women, you can begin exploring the area.
While you’re there, we suggest taking the left path which leads to a swing. Utilize it to unlock a secret: Souvenir – Imagine you’re flying!.
Reach the pilgrims’ praying area. Wait for them to finish praying and approach Perreux.
Escape From the Soldiers
You don’t have to worry about being discovered suddenly. Follow Perreux, who will try to lead you out of the camp safely.
Once instructed to do so, hide under the cart and wait for the guard to leave. Then jump over the fence and go through the horse pen. As soon as you’re spotted, begin sprinting. In a pre-planned event, Amicia will be captured by a bandit – simply observe what’s taking place. Eventually, you’ll fall down.
Find a Way Out
There’s a workbench nearby. Your objective is to reach the quarry entrance.
Firstly, explore the road to the right and request Lucas to squeeze through the gap. He’ll open the path forward for you, granting you access to a secret chest.
Return to the fork in the road and go to the left this time. You’ll unlock Hugo’s new ability – Ratsense, which you can use to scan the area (hold Down on the D-pad).
In the quarry, you can locate the nearby enemies and monitor their movements without exposing yourself. Using Ratsense from time to time will provide you with information on the current enemy placement.
You now have a choice – either sneak past the bandits (distract them by hitting toolboxes with rocks) or eliminate them. Use your crossbow or tar and Ignifiers to defeat armored enemies. Unarmored enemies can be killed with the slingshot.
To reach the door, shown in the picture, collect as much loot as possible along the way. In the second part of the quarry, there are more enemies. Use Ratsense to track their movements and sneak past or ambush them. You must reach the exit, where there is a hatch you can lift. Your destination is at the other end of the vast area guarded and patrolled by enemies. Use Ratsense and hide in tall grass to stay out of the enemies’ line of sight. You can eliminate them or avoid them. In the central part of this area, there is a hill with a secret chest accessible via the path shown in the picture. You can reach the buildings via any available path. We recommend searching the area to find as much loot as you can. Your destination is the building entrance, shown in the picture. In the room where you’ve started exploring the building, you can crouch and get through a small hole. You’ll find a locked workbench you can open with a knife. Reach the building’s main room, where for the first time Hugo will control the rat swarm. You can direct the rats with the left analog stick. Send them after the guards and devour them. After talking to Amicia, activate Hugo’s power manually. Link with the rats and aim for the rat swarm. Once a yellow crosshair appears, take control of them with R2/RT. Control the rats to devour the bandits. After clearing the building, break the link. Collect crafting resources from the area and stand near the edge of the rat swarm. Shoot the basket with an Ignifer and shoot tar at the burning basket. This temporarily strengthens the flame, letting you jump down safely. Do the same with a nearby torch to reach a staircase. The path will lead you to a new workbench. There’s also a ladder which you should use right away. Reach a hole and squeeze through it. You’ll find yourself in a canvas room, in which you can unlock a new secret: Souvenir-Which colour do you want? Return to the room with the workbench and open the door. You’ll leave the building.
