Elex 2: The Berserker’s Trust (Tavar) – walkthrough

This page of the Elex 2 guide provides a walkthrough for the mission “Trust of the Berserker” and how to join the Berserker faction.

The Berserker’s Trust is a lengthy quest that leads to joining the Berserker faction and accessing the upper district of the Fort. The mission involves encountering various characters and participating in three other quests: Thorhild’s Cultivators, Tilas’s Apprentice, and Gas in the Mine.

HOW TO START THE QUEST?

To start the quest, players must speak with Fenris, who can be found near the entrance to the upper district of the Fort.

Gain the trust of Scrappy, Thorhild, or Tilas

To progress the quest, players must gain the trust of one of three important individuals in the Fort – Scrappy, Thorhild, or Tilas. While completing one of these missions is enough to proceed, completing all three earns players additional experience points. Guides for these quests are available on other pages of the Elex 2 guide.

  1. Scrappy’s quest: Gas in the Mine
  2. Thorhild’s quest: Thorhild’s Cultivators
  3. Tilas’s quest: Tilas’s Apprentice

Help Wulf

After completing at least one of the above tasks, players must speak with Fenris again to learn that the next step is to help Wulf. His location will be marked on the map.

Tips on items

The objective is to find the makers of propaganda leaflets. Wulf will provide players with a nail and a leaflet. By finding clues on these items, players will earn additional experience points. The correct answers are: the nail was handcrafted, and the menu can be found on the flip side of the leaflet.

Conversation with Chloe and Lasse

The clues obtained will lead players to Chloe, the bar owner, and Lasse, the blacksmith. After speaking with them, players must return to Wulf.

Night patrol

Wulf offers players a chance to join him on a night patrol. During the patrol, players will follow Wulf and encounter a character hanging from a house window and a quarreling couple. Upon reaching the forge, players must decide how to extract information from the suspect. Players can intimidate, bribe, or defeat the suspect in combat. Regardless of the choice, the information obtained is irrelevant to the mission objective.

Encounter with Skinny

Once the patrol is done, Wulf will suggest splitting up. Your map will indicate the area near Fort’s entrance where you’ll meet Skinny. He’ll introduce himself and offer to spy on the Berserkers. To test your trustworthiness, he’ll ask you to steal a ring from a merchant in the upper Fort district.

Stealing the ring is crucial to proceed with the mission. Even if you report to Wulf after meeting Skinny, he’ll still want you to work with them.

Stealing the Ring

Head to the entrance of the upper Fort district, and turn left outside the city walls. Do this at night when the merchant is asleep.

Follow the wall until you see a locked door. Use the mechanism on the wall to open it.

This will lead you to the merchant’s house. Enter stealth mode and head straight to the bedroom. The ring you need is on the bedside table. Take it and return it to Skinny, who will then take you to the Claws’ hideout.

Meeting Yasme

When you get to the hideout, talk to Yasme. She’ll ask for the stolen item’s return. You need to make a decision:

  1. Give her the ring: the mission will proceed.
  2. Keep the ring: Yasme and her helper will attack you, and they’re tough opponents. Once you’ve defeated them, go back to Wulf and Fenris to complete the mission.

Make Your Choice and Finish the Task

If you didn’t kill Yasme, you must choose whether or not to tell Wulf the truth.

  1. Reveal the Claws’ hideout: you’ll receive 1000 Elexit crystals, and the Claws’ storyline will end.
  2. Lie to Wulf: you’ll get 100 Elexit crystals, but the Claw mission will still be available in the game.

Regardless of your decision, you can go back to Fenris to enter the upper quarter of the Fort.

Once you complete the Trust the Berserkers mission in Elex 2, you can ask the Rat to join the Berserkers faction.
