The first puzzle that poses a real challenge in Shadow of the Tomb Raider takes place in the Peruvian Jungle, right after meeting up with Jonah near the airplane wreckage.
The location of the puzzle is depicted in the image above – the main characters need to raise the bridge and cross the chasm.
Head left of the bridge and climb up the wall leading to the tower. There, you’ll find an interactive mechanism, as shown in the picture above, that will activate the water flow.
Return to the bottom and check out the other mechanism to the left of the bridge, as indicated in the picture. Lara and Jonah must work together here. Pushing the mechanism will cause water to pour into the green container.
The green container serves as a counterbalance, but since it’s punctured, you need to act fast in the next step. Go back a bit and take the path down to get under the bridge.
Take aim with your bow at the rope coil shown in picture 1. If you’ve shot it correctly, the rope coils will connect, as shown in picture 2.
If going under the bridge and shooting the coil takes too long, the green container will run out of water, and you’ll have to repeat the entire sequence, starting from pouring water into the container.
You can then go back up and easily cross to the other end of the bridge.
