Your first task is to speak with Kayara, a girl on the stairs whose location is indicated on the map in the above screen. After talking to her, you need to release Hakan by conversing with three men, the first of whom is the drummer opposite the cave entrance. Next, you need to talk to each of the two men guarding the entrance. Afterward, they will open the door, allowing Lara to enter and free Hakan. Once you speak with him, the door will close. However, you can smash the loose stones to the right of the entrance with your axe and open the passageway. You’ll need to open another passage with Hakan and then take him to his daughter. Freedom
How to unlock: Talk with Poma.
Rewards: Ch’amak’s Greaves.

Afterward, speak to Poma, who will commission you to free four prisoners in The Hidden City. Each prisoner is marked on the map; go to each location and release them. Once all the men are free, return to Poma. He will award you with Ch’amak’s Greaves. Your next task is to find Colgni, who is waiting for you in the cave. When you enter the cave, enemies will ambush you. You must fight them all before the mission ends.
Dice with the Dead
How to unlock: Talk with a child in the city.
Rewards: During this mission, you’ll unlock the Moraekah.
The first screenshot shows the location where a boy is waiting to give you a side mission. This mission, called Dice with the Dead, is fairly simple and involves talking to five people who are marked on the map. Once you talk to each person, return to Pisco who will give you the dice. Give the dice to the boy to complete the mission.
The Widow’s Tears mission requires you to wear the Serpent Guard outfit. The man giving the quest will provide information about a murder that occurred. At the crime scene, talk to two men and explore the area. Talk to the guardian blocking the door and then go downstairs to talk to the man holding a shell. After talking to him, you can enter the building and talk to the suspicious servants, another guard, and widows. Ask them all and then go to the right to meet Akna, a widow’s friend. After talking to her, jump on the wall to enter the woman’s cell from behind. Examine the blood on the wall and then go left to find a buried knife. Return to Taruc to complete the mission.
The Ancient Studies mission requires you to talk to Awil and wear the Serpent Guard outfit. Important locations are marked on the map. The reward for completing the mission is the Heart of the Eagle bow.
- Awil and Mayn serve as the starting and ending points of the quest, and you will revisit this location throughout the mission.
- The first mural is located here, and it is the first one you must decipher.
- You will find the second mural at this location, which you must examine.
- The third mural is the farthest from the starting point of the quest, and after examining it, you will return to Awil and Mayn.
- The ritual site is where you will go to rescue a girl after speaking with Mayn.

Once you have examined all of the murals, return to the girl’s original location. She will not be there, and you will need to speak with Mayn instead. She will direct you to the Abandoned Village, a ritual site where you must defeat nearby enemies and free the girl.
After saving the girl, return to the starting location of the quest to receive Heart of the Eagle, a bow from Awil and Mayn.
Hearts and Minds

The Hearts and Minds mission consists of three distinct stages. Each stage has been described separately to make it easier to complete the necessary tasks.
- Part one – Retrieve The King’s Horn.
- Part two – Retrieve The Savior’s Amulet.
- Part three – Retrieve The Champion’s Bow.
Part one – Retrieve The King’s Horn.
The key locations of the first part of the Hearts and Minds mission are highlighted in the image above. Your objective is to acquire The King’s Horn.
- Uchu – Speak with Uchu in the cave at the outset of the mission to receive your quest.
- Kabil – After speaking with Uchu, go to Kabil, who will give you information about his sick wife.
- Market – After receiving information from Kabil, visit the market and speak with a woman there.
- Cell – After speaking with the woman in the market, go to a cell where you will later return to free a boy.
- The boy – Speak with the boy here to retrieve the knife.
The mission begins in a cave where you will meet Uchu, who will ask you to find The King’s Horn.
After speaking with Uchu, go to Kabil, who will reveal his wife is sick. He will only give you The King’s Horn if you obtain medicine for her. Next, visit the market to speak with a woman who will give you information about a lost knife belonging to a boy.
Once you finish the conversation, make your way to the guard (indicated by the number 4 on the first screenshot). He will inform you about the whereabouts of the knife. After speaking to him, head over to the boy who can be found at the location marked on the first screenshot and on your map during the mission. You will see a rock behind the boy. Climb on it and you will find the knife on the first ledge.
Give the knife to the boy as a gesture of goodwill and he will help you by distracting the guard. This will allow you to free the boy from the cell and obtain herbs from him for Kabil. Take the herbs back to Kabil who will reward you with The King’s Horn. You must then deliver the horn to Uchu.
Part two – Retrieve The Savior’s Amulet.
You need to locate a sarcophagus to obtain The Savior’s Amulet. Although it is a part of a crypt, it is not located within one, as indicated on the map. You can only access it during the mission and its exact location is marked in the picture above.

Make your way through them and reach the end of the path where you will find a walled-up passage. Use your axe to reopen it.
Continue along the path and you will come across another room. Jump onto the rocks and enter the passage at the top to proceed. The location you need to reach is marked in the picture above. Simply jump onto the rocks below the marked point and Lara will take care of the rest.
Follow the path until you reach a bridge. As Lara steps on it, the bridge will collapse and she will fall into the water. There is no way to avoid this sequence. However, there is a passage under the water that you must cross to reach the other side of the cave. Once you get there, use the machine to fill the room with water and repeat this process three times to reach the sarcophagus.
There you will find The Savior’s Amulet that you have been searching for.
