The second LARP main mission in Saints Row is The Rod Warrior. This walkthrough will guide you through sneaking around the fort, building Bowelrod, and rescuing Elijah.

The Rod Warrior is the next LARP mission in Saints Row. Our guide explains how to acquire Bowelrod parts, sneak through Fort Phoenix, assemble Bowelrod, and use it to save Eli.

Unlocking the mission

To unlock this mission, Eli invites you to another LARP. It works similarly to the previous LARP mission, The Dustmoot. You must meet two requirements:

1. Building Castle Kraken – see the Ventures chapter of our guide for details
2. Completing all Dustlander Beacons in Castle Kraken, which requires reaching two specific locations and defending against two enemy onslaughts

Meeting Elijah the Wise

Eli waits for you at the Monte Vista viewpoint. After arriving, you’ll change into your LARP outfit and discuss the attack plan with your allies.

Traveling to Bowelrod’s lair

Use Eli’s vehicle to reach the farm outside the city. Once there, talk to the Keeper.

Acquiring Bowelrod

Bowelrod is a regular Sojourn van that you must transform into a war machine. Return to the woman and take the keys from her.

Head to Fort Phoenix.

Sneaking into the camp

The stealth in this mission is unusual as it follows the LARP’s rules. Your character drinks an invisibility potion, so you’ll only alert enemies in specific situations.

1. You can let enemies see you freely, but don’t attack anyone where they can see
2. Sneak up on enemies from behind and execute non-lethal takedowns. Check that no one is watching before taking down an enemy.

Be careful of the guard on the higher ledge – they have a good position and can easily spot you eliminating foes. We recommend taking them down first before going after enemies on the lower level.

To complete the mission, you need to eliminate all the enemies marked with red icons. You don’t have to hurry because the “invisibility potion” won’t wear off.

Your first task is to search for a Bowelrod part. After dealing with the guards, find the large chest in the camp where the part is located. However, you must also search for more items.

The next location is the warehouse that you can reach on foot. You don’t have to sneak around anymore. Instead, engage the enemies in combat. The LARPers use fictional, non-lethal weapons that you can swap between from your weapon wheel. You can also take down enemies using melee and takedowns. There are elite foes here, so drain their yellow armor bars before dispatching them.

Once you clear the warehouse of all enemies, you’ll find another large chest containing a Bowelrod part. Collect the parts and reach your allies’ meeting spot.

To reach the peak of Fort Phoenix, you can walk without using vehicles. There are more enemies along the way, so don’t rush to avoid triggering multiple encounters at once. At the peak, there is a final large chest where you can get the last Bowelrod part.

After getting the parts, go to the nearby viewpoint and use your wingsuit to glide towards the warehouse. Land carefully and hand over the parts to Neenifer.

While Neenifer is upgrading the Bowelrod, you must protect her as enemies attack the warehouse from two directions. Use any of your weapons, but try to use the most powerful ones. Defend yourself until the bar in the upper-left corner is full.

Once the work is finished, board the Bowelrod and drive it to Elijah’s location. The Bowelrod has a unique Roar attack (L1/LB on the controller) that you can use to weaken nearby enemies. Drive into enemy groups, use Roar, and wait a few seconds for it to recharge. Eliminate all the enemies to save Elijah and complete the mission.
