In this task, you need to find a metal ball so that Rene and Gaston can resume their petanque game in Disco Elysium.
Completing this task allows you to earn the Coach Physical Instrument thought when you throw a ball into the water.
To activate the task, you must pass the Hand/Eye Coordination skill check to show the men how petanque is played (grab the ball and demonstrate). Unfortunately, Harry is not very good and the ball falls into the water. Note that you only get one attempt, and failing the skill check will prevent the task from being activated.
Skipping the throw attempt also results in failure, and increasing your knowledge of the game through conversation makes the skill check more difficult.
The Shotput Ball can be found under a bench in the abandoned gym at the back of the bookstore in the Doomed Commercial Area. Retrieve it and return to Rene and Gaston to complete the task.
It is not necessary to finish this task. The ball is worth more than 10 Real and can be sold. Returning the ball will slightly improve your relationship with the men (white skill checks) and earn you 10 XP.
