Hidden City Relics | Shadow of the Tomb Raider Secrets

In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, there are 28 relics hidden in Paititi. This page includes maps of various areas of the city where we have indicated these secrets. Additionally, we have provided at least one image and a detailed description for each of the relics.

North-west part of the map

Golden Effigy

Relic (1) can be found in the cave that must be explored during the “Retrieve the Savior’s Amulet” side quest. Use Lara’s axe to break down parts of the wall and avoid a few traps to finally reach the secret.

Lord and Lady of the Dead

Relic (2) is in the crypt that you visit after hanging a rope over the water. Reach the bottom of the crypt and then dive. Squeeze through a few rocks. The secret can be found in the picture presented above.

South-west part of the map

Relic (1) is inside a small chest located near rocks, bushes, and a wooden structure.

Macuahuitl

Relic (2) can be found shortly after entering the temple located inside the mountain. This occurs during your journey to the Belly of the Serpent. The chest with the secret is inside the larger room (as seen in the picture above).

Arrow

Relic (3) can be found when exploring one of the crypts (the entrance is located east from the secret). The arrow is in the dark corridor – avoid a trap to reach the secret.

Relic (1) is in the chest located near the monolith and the passage to the temple in the mountains.

Plastic Penguin

Relic (2) is in the chest located near one of the buildings.

Metatl

Relic (3) is inside a small chest near the wall and the wooden stall.

Chaki Taklla

Relic (4) is inside the large chest located near one of the paths.

Copper Mace

Relic (5) is in the rebels hideout in Skull Cave. You can obtain this secret after starting the “Rebellion Lives” main mission. The chest is hidden behind one of the walls.

Ch’arki and Chunos

Relic (6) is inside a barricaded cabin. You can remove the obstacle using the Reinforced Knife.

Southern part of the city

Ceremonial Pipe

One of the relics (1) is hidden inside a cabin. Look for the hole in the wall (as shown in the picture above) and go through it to enter the building with the secret.

Whistle

The second relic (2) can be found in a large chest next to the entrance of the temple that is guarded by one of the cultists. You don’t need to enter the temple itself to find this secret, and it can be found during your first visit to Paititi.

Dismantled Radio

The third relic (3) is located in a chest inside one of the buildings, which Lara can access by breaking the barricade with her Reinforced Knife.

Patolli Mat

Relic number four (4) is inside a chest in one of the buildings, and you’ll also find one of the conquistador chests here.

Mask of the Fire God

The fifth relic (5) can be found in small caves near the main part of Paititi. You might come across this secret while walking down the main corridor, and there are other discoveries to find here, such as a mural and a document.

Chuspas

Relic number six (6) is located in a chest near stairs inside one of the buildings.

Ceremonial Torch

The seventh relic (7) is on a platform located high up in the city. You can get there by climbing a few walls, and you’ll also find a path that leads to the Temple of the Sun challenge tomb.

Burial Mask


The eighth relic (8) is inside a basement beneath one of the buildings, but Lara won’t be able to access it right away. Explore the area located northeast from the secret and look for the spot shown in picture 1, where you can jump into a partially submerged building. Dive and swim to the location with the secret (as shown in picture 2), and shoot an arrow with a rope at the upper doors to leave the basement quickly.

Incense Burner

Relic number nine (9) is on a platform located high up in the city. Find a climbable wall located south from the secret, reach the top, and open the chest.

Year Bundle

Relic number one (1) is in a side room that you can access right after reaching the upper city. Find the barricade shown in the picture and destroy it with the Reinforced Knife.

Tlaloc Vase

The second relic (2) is inside a chest located on top of the altar in the upper city.

Wooden Rifle

The third relic (3) is inside one of the half-open buildings in the upper city, which you’ll find just before entering the Kukulkan temple.

Mask of Tezcatlipoca

The fourth relic (4) is in a chest located in the southern part of the temple.

Mama Quilla Mask

The chest containing Relic (5) is situated in the northeast section of the temple. To reach it, jump down into a narrow and dimly lit room.

Bloodletter

Relic (6) can be found in the chest located in the central part of the temple.

Map of Search Areas

Relic (7) is situated in the room that is accessible by crossing the drawbridge. This area is only accessible after you have rescued Unuratu from the cell and defeated some cultists.

Primitive Doll

Relic (8) can be discovered while exploring the Ancient Aqueduct tomb. The doll is contained within the chest that can be found after exiting the water.
