To find the bear, speak to the Huntsman (M31,12) in the northern part of the Avvar village. He will lead you to the cave in the swamp (M31,12a).

Once inside, eliminate the Hakonnite warriors guarding the unlocked door in the northern part of the swamp. Activate the lever on the wall quickly to free the bear and escape the cave. Beware of another group of enemies outside. After defeating them, return to Avvar village and speak to Svara Sun-Hair (M31,10) to complete the quest.
