Echo Base Escape!

After defeating the AT-AT machines in the previous stage, you will return to the Echo Base but have to escape as it’s under attack. Follow the path marked by the yellow icons, but be prepared to encounter more enemies. Use cover to stay safe, and avoid enemies throwing grenades. Darth Vader will appear briefly, but you won’t fight him. Keep running until you reach the blue circle to start the Never Tell Me the Odds level.

Never Tell Me the Odds – Challenges

This level has three challenges:

1. Asteroid Evasion – Avoid contact with asteroids during the chase. You’ll find it at the end of the stage and learn more about it in our walkthrough.
2. Proton Power – Destroy 5 TIE Fighters with proton torpedoes. You can complete this challenge in the second part of the mission, after receiving the task of attacking Destroyer hardware. Don’t use the proton torpedoes to attack ships, but target TIE Fighters flying around. You should have enough torpedoes.
3. Take Evasive Action! – Finish the encounter with the Star Destroyer without dying. You don’t have to escape the asteroid field, so avoid crashing by reacting when targeted and perform a barrel roll (L1 R1 or LB RB on a pad, Alt Ctrl on PC).

Never Tell Me the Odds – Walkthrough

You’ll start this stage in outer space and have to eliminate 10 TIE Fighters before attacking Destroyers. When attacking enemy spaceships, aim ahead at the small circle that accounts for the projectile trajectory correction.

In the second part of the mission, you’ll be tasked with attacking radars and turrets installed on Destroyers. To complete this task, you’ll need proton torpedoes obtained by destroying smaller ships with a characteristic glow. When using torpedoes, wait for the target lock and press the attack button shown on the screen (different from the blaster fire button).

During the final phase of the mission, you will need to navigate through an asteroid field. The challenge lies in the fact that the game restricts you from deviating too far from the predetermined flight path and may redirect you back to it.

Concentrate on evading obstacles while keeping a safe distance – it’s wise to anticipate the movements of your controlled ship ahead of time. The presence of stud rings may indicate the correct route to take. Successfully completing this sequence will also bring you to the end of the entire level.
