Getting Started
To enter the Demon Beast Canyon, you need to have an ilvl of 340. If this is your first time attempting an Abyssal Dungeon, remember that you cannot use basic healing potions, must be part of a group to enter, and often you must know the mechanics of the level to be able to complete it.
First Boss – Corrupted Vazuela
You have 5 minutes to defeat Corrupted Vazuela, the first boss of the dungeon. After this time, Vazuela will switch to berserker mode and become much harder to defeat. The boss uses area attacks, and after jumping, will strike a random spot in the arena. This strike is followed by a second long-range wave (but the safe area is also near the boss). The second common attack occurs when the boss rolls up and charges in one direction – just observing the boss will help you avoid this attack.
Occasionally, a crosshair may appear above the hero. The boss will then perform a special attack that causes a bloodstain to appear in the targeted location. If targeted, run to the edge of the battlefield to avoid contaminating the center of the arena.
These attacks cause some parts of the arena to be bloodstained and cause permanent damage like fire. Avoid exposing yourself to these areas and rally the group to a part of the arena that’s not contaminated. You can also reduce the boss’s Stagger bar (purple, below health) to zero to get rid of all stains.
Second Boss – Vile Scarkrill
Vile Scarkill is the second and final boss of this dungeon, but a much tougher one. Although most of his attacks are directed right ahead of him or are long-distance attacks targeted at designated spots of the arena, you should keep an eye on the enemy’s movements and handle skills with long recharge times carefully.
During attacks, don’t let anyone on your team go within the range of the field, as they will take damage.
After a minute or two of battling, the second stage with the actual mechanics will commence. The sides of the screen will darken and four orbs will materialize around the arena. Players need to lure the boss towards an orb so that it gets destroyed on the boss’s teleportation, in order to attack the players with a long-range rotational attack. Alternatively, players can destroy the orbs themselves, causing them to explode and damage the boss if within range. Completing the mechanics is crucial as the boss will eliminate all players with one attack after a minute’s time.
To successfully perform this mechanic, the boss must be lured towards each orb four times to make them explode. For this reason, players should move around the arena as a group, in one direction.
Once the orb task is completed, there will be no further surprises until the end of the fight – players can simply finish off the enemy by using High Stagger skills and grenades.
