Quest Giver: Adius, the City Guard Captain


After speaking to the captain at the Castle Bruma Great Hall, you will need to visit The Restful Watchman tavern and talk to Bentior, the innkeeper. Pay him and he will share his suspicions about the stolen artifacts.


Speak to Bentior about the stolen artifacts.

He informs you that a man named Atienne is spreading rumors about the stolen goods but will not reveal his location. Speak to him again and inquire about problems at the tavern. You find out that Cerendil is making accusations against the establishment and your task is to convince him to stop. Find Cerendil in the square and ask for his help. He gives you a memory jewel from the previous night and requests that you deliver it to the captain of the city guard.


Report to Adius that Bentior refuses to help.

Return to the captain to inform him that Bentior is uncooperative. He gives you a letter to deliver to the stubborn innkeeper and requests that you retrieve the memory jewel. You learn that the evidence is insufficient for pressing charges. Return to Bentior and show him the letter. He becomes more compliant and marks the location of the thieves on your map.

A new location, Bandit’s Den, will appear on your map. Leave the city and head to the hideout of the bandits. You will eventually arrive at Capston Cove, a cave where you must face a lone bandit. After defeating him, approach his corpse and retrieve a note. Reading the note will update the quest.

Report back to the captain of the guards. If you choose to explore the cave, you will face a group of bandits. You can find Aera’s amulet inside one of the chests, which you can return to the city.

You will need to face a few bandits here. Luring them into the traps will weaken them considerably. After the fights, retrieve the artifacts and head back to the Castle Bruma Great Hall.


Inform the Count that the task is accomplished.

Have a conversation with Count Desilus and Adius to finish the mission. As a reward, you will receive a generous sum of gold and the artifacts will be given back to their lawful possessor.
