Echoback Canyon Rifts

How to activate: Automatically triggered after establishing a camp (M19,2) or discovering one of the Rifts (M19,2c)(M19,2d)

Quest giver: – (M19,2) or (M19,2c) or (M19,2d)

There are two ways to start this quest: either by setting up camp in The Western Approach (M19,2) or by approaching one of the two Rifts (M19,2c)(M19,2d).

The goal of the quest is to close both Rifts that connect the game world with the Fade. The first Rift is located in Echoback Canyon, which can be accessed after passing Coracavus during “The Trouble with Darkspawn” quest. The first Rift (M19,2c) is located to the west of the camp in the canyon. It is guarded by high-level monsters, so make sure your party is well leveled up. Beware of the despair demon and the rage demon. The second Rift (M19,2d) is to the southwest of Echoback Fort and is guarded by weaker monsters, except for the rage demon.

Quest rewards:

  • Significant experience points

FAQ

1. What are Rifts in Echoback?

Rifts are a unique feature in the game Echoback which allow players to travel quickly between different areas of the game world. They are essentially portals that open up in specific locations and lead to other rifts scattered throughout the game. Players can use these rifts to quickly move around the world and explore new areas without having to spend a lot of time traveling on foot.

2. How do I find Rifts in Echoback?

Rifts are marked on the game map with a specific icon, so players can easily identify their locations. They are often found in areas that are difficult to reach on foot or require a long journey to get to, so they provide a convenient way to move around the world. Players can also ask other players or consult online guides to find the locations of specific rifts.

3. Can I use Rifts to travel to new areas of the game?

Yes, Rifts can be used to travel to any area of the game world that has a corresponding rift. This makes it easy for players to explore new areas and find new quests or challenges to complete. However, some rifts may be locked until certain requirements are met, such as completing a specific quest or reaching a certain level.

4. Are there any risks involved in using Rifts?

While Rifts are generally safe to use, there is always a small risk involved when traveling through them. Players may encounter hostile creatures or other players while traveling, so it is important to be prepared for combat. Additionally, some Rifts may lead to areas that are difficult to navigate or require specific skills to traverse, so players should be cautious when using them.

5. Can I use Rifts to travel with other players?

Yes, players can use Rifts to travel with other players as long as they are in the same party or group. This makes it easy for players to coordinate their movements and explore the world together. However, players should be aware that some Rifts may be too small to accommodate large groups, so they may need to split up or find alternate routes.
