Copeland’s Camp in Days Gone

This section of our Days Gone guide and walkthrough contains crucial details about Copeland’s Camp. As the first real encampment you’ll encounter in the game, you’ll be revisiting it throughout the entire story.

Copeland’s Camp is situated in Cascade, the “starting” area that you will reach within the first few hours of gameplay, during the Drifters on the Mountain main mission where you’ll follow one of Copeland’s people.

Upon your first visit, you’ll need to meet some of the people there, including Copeland, the leader of the encampment. Afterward, you can come back here as often as you like.

Copeland will give Deacon various side quests (a total of six). Every time a new side quest is available, Deacon will receive a message via the radio.

The local mechanic is the first important person you should meet at Copeland’s Camp. Upon your first visit to him, Deacon will receive a new bike (since you lost the previous one during the prologue).

Unfortunately, the new bike is made of the weakest components, which means you’ll have to upgrade it. Manny sells bike parts. The most crucial component is Nitrous I. With this boost, you can jump over small chasms and reach helicopter wrecks and other seemingly inaccessible areas. We also recommend getting Saddlebags I to transport ammunition. With this upgrade, you can refill your ammo supplies.

Both upgrades require you to reach Trust level 2 in Copeland’s Camp. To do so, complete all missions in this region and deliver Freakers’ ears and other supplies to the encampment.

The merchant is another crucial person in Copeland’s Camp. He doesn’t sell weapons but offers ammunition, suppressors (try to install it on your pistol at least), and consumables. Unfortunately, all goods except ammo require you to gain a specific Trust level in this camp.
