Machine Revolt – returning to the City Ruins and protecting 2B
Start this chapter in the Bunker and meet the Commander in the main corridor of the space station to learn important facts about the moon base (and unlock a new archive entry). Return to 9S’ cabin, where the alarm will sound. Head to the hangar and use the Flight Suit.
During the flight to the landing area in City Ruins, face the Goliath Flyer mini-boss again. Use hacking to make the fight easier. You will meet up with 2B in the ruins.
Eve – the first fight
The first fight against Eve in Route B is similar to the encounter in Route A. Hack the machines surrounding the boss or attack him using standard methods.
The next steps are the same as in Route A – reach Pascal’s village, defeat the machines, and wait for information on Eve’s whereabouts.
Eve final boss – playing as 9S
The first stage of the fight against Eve is the same as the Route A fight. The boss uses the same attacks, but you can now hack him. Avoid the orange blocks during the hacking mini-game. If you can’t hack him, use standard fighting tactics.
The second part of the fight with Eve in “NieR: Automata” introduces a new feature where 9S hacks Eve and takes you to virtual reality for a long battle. You must move sideways to avoid groups of projectiles and attack Eve. After defeating him, you will come across more fights like this.
