Elex: Exiled Unjustly – Step-by-Step Guide

Exiled Unjustly is a side quest in Elex where you help Katta, an exiled woman, clear her name and return to her village after being falsely accused of theft by the Berserkers.

To unlock this quest, you need to speak with Katta on Berserker Island.

Berserker Island is located at the southern end of the map and is shown in the picture above. Once you reach the fishing village, speak with Katta and learn about her situation. It’s up to you to help her reclaim her reputation.

Go to Goliet and speak with Alrik (200XP) who has a plan that can help Katta clear her name. Alrik will give you 3 Claws and Alrik’s Keyring (optional) to help you with the plan. If you don’t ask for the keyring, you will need to use your Lockpicking ability.

The first part of the plan is to break into Born’s and Sinda’s chests. You need to sneak into their homes at night, and use Alrik’s keys or Lockpicking ability to open their chests. Take Born’s Valuables and Sinda’s Valuables, but make sure to leave 1 Claw in each chest. This will help to accuse the real culprit, Drog, of theft. To do this, select the second tab in the inventory, find the Claws, select one unit, and then place it inside the robbed person’s chest.

The second part of the plan is to place the stolen items inside Drog’s chest, which you must also sneak into. Place 1 Claw, Born’s Valuables, and Sinda’s Valuables inside the chest. The picture above shows the final contents of the chest.

Finally, return to Alrik and inform him that the preparations are complete. Drog is now accused of theft, and Katta can return to Goliet (200XP). You can meet with her at the main entrance to the village, where you will receive 1000XP, 114 Shards, and Katta’s Claw (a quest item that is connected to the Claws’ hideout in Domed City – more details can be found in the descriptions of A Strange Mechanism and On Behalf of the Claws quests).
