Defeating specific factions of enemies rewards you with various incentives

There are many different types of enemies in the game, not only in terms of fighting style or weapons but also in terms of belonging to specific factions. This affects the type of crafting materials you can obtain. You can check the crafting menu to see which enemies drop specific materials. It is worth noting that fighting against law enforcement does not provide XP, so avoid it.

Health loss has consequences

If you lose all your health while on a mission, you will return to the last checkpoint. If this happens in the game world, you will be taken to the nearest safe location. Additionally, if you “die”, you will lose a small amount of scrap and progress (collected clues).

You gain skill points as you level up

You earn XP primarily by completing quests and defeating enemies – the harder the challenge, the more XP you will receive. Additional activities, challenges, and secrets also grant a lot of XP. The experience level is shared among all characters, so you can switch between them freely without having to level up each one separately. You can choose to fight your opponents stealthily or with all your arsenal at your disposal. If you prefer to be stealthy, use RR to mark enemies and take them down one by one silently. Note that ambush takedowns are faster but can create noise and attract other enemies. You can use rolls while sneaking to move faster. Robin is particularly adept at stealth fighting.

Hold down the hook button, throw a smoke bomb, and escape from the enemies – then try to eliminate them again from a hidden location.

Pay attention to enemy weaknesses and resistances

To make the combat in Gotham Knights more varied, enemies have weaknesses and resistances to elements like acid or fire. If you frequently fight against the same enemies or stronger opponents, it is useful to know their weak spots.
