This page of our Hitman 2 guide contains the achievements and trophies found in the base game. These awards are related to the two training missions, Freeform Training and The Final Test. Each award has a description and our commentary on how to obtain it.

You can earn these achievements/trophies even without the Legacy Pack (content from the first game) currently installed. The training stages are available from the start of Hitman 2. Additionally, trophies/achievements without specific requirements (e.g. Tools of the Trade) can also be unlocked in the main episodes (like the Miami level).

The Result of Previous Training

How to unlock: Complete “Freeform Training” in the prologue.

Commentary: You’ll unlock this trophy/achievement regardless of how you kill Kalvin Ritter in Freeform Training.

Cleared for Field Duty

How to unlock: Complete “The Final Test” in the prologue.

Commentary: You’ll unlock this trophy/achievement regardless of how you kill Jasper Knight in The Final Test.

Seizing the Opportunity

How to unlock: Complete any Mission Story in The Final Test.

Commentary: This achievement/trophy is related to Opportunities, unique situations that allow you to assassinate your target in various ways. The Opportunities in the second training mission enable you to eject Knight from a jet fighter or use poison. Choose one of the Opportunities and complete it.

The Creative Assassin

How to unlock: Complete the Contract Creation Tutorial.

Commentary: The tutorial provides you with basic information on how to create contracts. Follow the instructions – after that, you’ll know everything about the options available in the Contract Creation tool.

Unexpected Guest

How to unlock: Disguise yourself as Mr. Norfolk and assassinate Kalvin Ritter.

Commentary: You can assume Mr. Norfolk’s identity during “The Freeform Training”. You can identify him by his white suit. He usually stands next to his car near the starting location (as shown in the picture above). Check our Hitman 1 guide for more details on how to take this man’s identity.

K-36D

How to unlock: Assassinate Jasper Knight with a sabotaged ejector seat.

Commentary: This achievement/trophy is available in “The Final Test” mission. The fighter jet is in the hangar – complete all actions that will damage the vehicle and lead Jasper Knight to it. The achievement/trophy is unlocked once you eject the target (see the picture above). Check our Hitman 1 guide for more details on how to sabotage the jet.

Defection Deterred

How to unlock: Arrange matters so that the KGB Colonel eliminates Jasper Knight.

The Final Test Achievements/Trophies

Silent Assassin

How to unlock: Complete “The Final Test” unspotted. Kill only Jasper Knight, ensuring his body is not found.

To get this achievement/trophy, you need to complete the mission without being spotted. You can only kill Jasper Knight and you can’t let anyone find his body. You can knock out other NPCs, but you need to hide their bodies. You can assassinate Knight by putting poison in his drink and then eliminate him in the toilet.

Security Defeated

How to unlock: Arrange matters so that a guard finds a discarded weapon and moves it into the hangar.

To unlock this achievement/trophy, you need to eliminate the airport security employee in the western outpost at the start of the mission. Hide his body, but leave his weapon on the floor. One of the Soviet soldiers will pick up the weapon and carry it into the hangar, unlocking the achievement/trophy.

Chameleon

How to unlock: Change your disguise during “The Final Test”.

To unlock this achievement/trophy, you need to attack and either knock out or kill any of the NPCs in the airport, such as a security employee, mechanic, or soldier. After that, you need to wear their clothes.

How to unlock: Complete Level 5 of an Escalation Contract set in the ICA Facility.

This achievement/trophy requires you to complete Level 5 of an Escalation Contract set in the ICA Facility. These contracts challenge you with increasingly complex assassination challenges.

Contract Assassin

How to unlock: Complete 10 Contracts.

To unlock this achievement/trophy, you need to complete 10 different contracts. You can select contracts suggested by the game or look for ones that interest you the most.

Top of the Class

How to unlock: Set the high score on a Contract.

To unlock this achievement/trophy, you need to create a contract yourself and get a low score. After that, replay your contract and complete it with a better score.

A New Profile

How to unlock: Complete a Featured Contract.

To unlock this achievement/trophy, you need to complete a Featured Contract. These contracts are selected by the game’s developers and change over time.

Shhh

How to unlock: Pacify any individual.

To unlock this achievement/trophy, you need to pacify any individual. You can do this during the first training mission by pacifying the mechanic. You can also attack any person in one of the episodes.

Tools of the Trade

How to unlock: Assassinate Targets with Ballistic, Accident and Explosion Kills.

To unlock this achievement/trophy, you need to assassinate targets with ballistic, accident, and explosion kills.

Strategy for Varied Assassinations

If you want to spice up your gameplay in the Hitman series, try changing your assassination method for each playthrough of any available mission. You don’t have to limit yourself to training missions, any episode will do. To achieve an Explosion Kill, use explosives or destroy explosive objects in the environment.

Unseen Assassin

To unlock this achievement/trophy, you must assassinate a target without being detected. This can be accomplished during the first training mission by avoiding enemies who can recognize Agent 47 even when he is in disguise.
