This quest becomes available as soon as you arrive at the Hissing Wastes for the first time. The goal is to locate and close three Rifts that connect this world with the Fade. The game guide provides instructions on how to close the Rifts.
The first Rift is situated to the north of the starting camp (M16,1a). When attempting to close it, beware of Despair Demons and eliminate them first. The second Rift can be found northwest of the starting point (M16,1c). Be ready for a difficult battle as you will face very strong Pride Demons. Focus on these enemies and avoid using attacks they are resistant to (such as electricity and paralysis). The third and last Rift is situated far to the north of the starting camp (M16,1h). As in the second case, watch out for Pride Demons. Eliminate them first and protect weaker companions from their attacks.
