Buying

To purchase new equipment, go to the store and stand on the shopping cart icon. Press the interact key (R by default) to select the machine you want to buy.

You can also use the shopping menu (P by default) to purchase the equipment. However, it is your responsibility to collect the purchased vehicles from the store.

You can assign an employee to pick up the vehicle for you. Open the menu (Esc) and select the second tab with the steering wheel icon. Choose a machine, select a destination from the menu on the right, and press the assign worker button (Space by default) for the employee to start the journey. Remember to equip the tractor or other machine with additional machinery at the time of purchase so that you can immediately pick up the extra equipment.

The purchase price is the same whether you buy the vehicle/machine locally or remotely.

Selling

To sell a machine, open the shopping panel and select the third tab from the end with the garage icon. Choose the machine category, where you can view the vehicles you own and sell them. Keep in mind that the value of the machine decreases as soon as you purchase it, so avoid making rash purchases.

The best way to sell machines is to use the workshop tag at the store. Place the machine in the zone and use the wrench icon. By selling your machines this way, you can receive 20% more money. The selling price of the vehicle is affected by:

  1. Working time – a real-time counter independent of the in-game time acceleration setting,
  2. Time after purchase – even if the item has been unused, it still loses value,
  3. Damage – every machine wears out over time. Additionally, stones in the fields can damage the machines.

Avoid making unnecessary purchases. If you want to test the machines, it’s best to lease them.

Special Offers

Farming Simulator 22 introduced the Second-hand vehicles tab in stores, which allows you to buy used machines at a much lower price. The number and types of vehicles available change every month. This option helps you save a lot of money if you can find the vehicle or machine you need.

Leasing

You can lease any machine or vehicle instead of purchasing it. To lease a machine, you need to pay 5% of its value (i.e., €5,000 for a vehicle worth €100,000). After leasing it, you can use the machine for as long as you want. However, you will be charged for each month, even if you don’t use the machine.

The fee for leasing a vehicle is 1% of its value per month and the charge starts from the beginning of the lease. If you keep a vehicle after the first month, you will be charged an additional fee of €1,000 for the next day/month of rental. You can check which vehicles you have rented by selecting the wrench icon in the shopping menu, and you can return a vehicle without an extra charge. However, returning a vehicle in the workshop won’t earn you a reward. It may not be cost-effective to rent a vehicle for certain tasks, such as leasing a harvester for a small field. In such cases, it’s better to take up some assignments to earn more money by using the leased vehicle to work on other fields.

When a vehicle is damaged or worn out, it won’t work efficiently. To repair or modify a vehicle, go to the workshop where you can also repaint or sell the vehicle. You can also place your own workshop on your plot for €45,000, which can be useful for vehicles with many modification options. Some trailers can be turned into manure spreaders or flat trailers for transporting pallets/bales. Once purchased, you can switch the machine’s modifications for free at any time.
