You Got a Death Wish/Bugged the Hell Out

The thread will be unlocked after completing the second mission of Gear Up For the Ride – Drifters on the Mountain.

NERO Checkpoint.

Go to the NERO checkpoint near Copeland’s Camp. There are 3 Freakers waiting for you here. You must find medicine for Boozer. But first, restore the power to get inside. Take the fuel canister from the car on the road and pour it into the generator behind the building.

Now climb onto the building and turn off the megaphones to avoid drawing enemy attention. You can also set them on fire with a Molotov cocktail beforehand, as they are neatly gathered in one place under the megaphone. Enter the building and take medicine from a white crate.

  1. In the next room you will also find a Mobile Medical Unit Recording 0820 (secret)

At each NERO checkpoint, you will find crates that will improve the character’s stats.

After opening the crate, you will find a special substance inside, which will permanently improve your character’s stats – stamina, health, or focus. You will now unlock the side thread: World’s end associated with finding more injections to improve your character’s performance.

  1. You will unlock the next mission even before bringing medicine to Boozer – it’s worth doing it right away – No Starving Patriots (Gear Up For the Ride)

Sounded Like Engines

Climb the radio tower using a ladder.

After clearing the Ripper Camp in No Starving Patriots and restoring power to Copeland, get out of the bunker and climb the radio tower (you may as well do it later). This is the shortest possible task: it will give you bearings on an enemy camp (in a cutscene) located near your hideout. Then you can immediately go down and return to Boozer.

Smoke on the Mountain

After completing the two previous stages: bringing medicine to Boozer (Bugged the Hell Out) and locating the smoke from the radio tower (Sounded Like Engines) you will unlock this mission, which is to get rid of the nearby Ripper Camp.

Beware of bear traps that can alert your enemies in the small camp down the mountain. If you visit the area at night, expect to encounter many Freakers. You can pick up the bear traps and move them to trap your enemies, but watch out for wires that can also alert them. These traps are marked in red in Survival Vision mode (R3). Completing this mission unlocks subsequent missions in Chasing Leon: Out of Nowhere / She Rode With Use and Gear Up For the Ride: Drugged Outta His Mind.

Clear Out Those Nests

After completing Smoke on the Mountain, head to the sawmill to clear out 6 mutant nests. Two of these nests are located in buildings while the remaining 4 can be found in a large white warehouse. Use a Molotov cocktail or blow up a fuel canister to remove the nests.

It’s a Rifle, Not a Gun

Once you save Lisa and take her to Tucker’s camp, return to Copeland’s camp to learn how to hunt animals using Survival Vision. This mission unlocks the ability to obtain valuable meat from carcasses. After completing this mission, you may have an empty journal until Boozer contacts you on the radio outside the camp to acquire meat in the mission We’re Getting Low on Meat.

We’re Getting Low on Meat

Boozer will contact you on the radio after completing It’s a Rifle, Not a Gun to bring him some meat from animals you’ve hunted. Return to the top of the hideout where Boozer is staying with the meat to complete the mission. This unlocks a task in the You’re Safe Now – They Won’t Let Me Leave thread.

Give Me a Couple of Days

As part of the I’ve Pulled Weeds Before (I Remember) mission, collect 3 purple lavender flowers near the lake. Beware of a horde stationed near the train on the bridge. Return to Boozer with the lavender to complete the mission.

Avoiding Violence

Your objective is to infiltrate the camp’s infirmary without any casualties. This mission follows after arriving at Lost Lake with Boozer in “No One Saw it Coming (Gear Up For the Ride)”. Your equipment is blocked, so you cannot use it. The best way to avoid detection is to follow the guards heading towards the camp and slip by unnoticed.

When the guards rest on a bench, sneak behind them and enter the bushes between the buildings. Here, you will encounter Iron Mike. Follow him through the bushes and enter the infirmary through the main entrance when Mike continues on his way.

We All Have a Past

This mission starts immediately after completing “No Place Else To Go (You’re Safe Now)”, where you try to find Lisa. Speak with Iron Mike in a cutscene. After this, you will have access to Iron Mike’s camp. The mission concludes the Gear Up For the Ride thread, and as a reward, you will receive a new motorcycle skin, a new Drifter Crossbow, and the next main thread mission: “Sherman’s Camp is Crawling (Earning Our Keep)”.

  1. New motorcycle skin
  2. New Drifter Crossbow available in your cache
  3. The next mission of the main thread: “Sherman’s Camp is Crawling (Earning Our Keep)”

Out of Sight

This mission is available after completing “I Need Your Help (I Remember)”. Upon returning to Mike’s camp, talk to Skizzo. If your journal is empty, leave the camp to receive a radio message from Skizzo. After a few minutes, you will receive a second message, which unlocks the next mission…

All-Nighter

Leave your motorcycle outside the gate

This mission is challenging and important. It appears in your journal after receiving the second message from Skizzo. Go west and leave your motorcycle behind after passing a wooden palisade and a large puddle. A small checkpoint is in front of you, and it will be difficult to pass unnoticed. Note that one of your opponents has an MG45 heavy machine gun – deal with him by throwing an explosive charge or focusing fire on him. If you are using a crossbow, use the Residue Bolt to lure him away, weaken him, and clear the checkpoint himself.

As you progress, you will encounter snipers and two more enemies with heavy MGs. They are very vigilant and will spot you from afar, so it’s best to approach them on foot and try to surprise them.

In this battle, remote charges or proximity mines can be very useful.

Upon arriving at the destroyed plane, you will face a strong boss. To gain an advantage, set up traps such as proximity mines near exploding crates. You can also use the MG45 that you obtained from a previous opponent. Keep an eye out for bear traps on the ground and use them to your advantage. However, be cautious as the enemy’s attacks can cause significant damage. Consider using a Stamina Cocktail to recover your stamina. After the fight, retrieve the medical box behind the fuselage and move it to the nearby motorcycle.

Be careful as the enemy is very powerful.

Ensure that you keep your distance from the enemy as their attacks can cause more than half of your health to deplete. After the fight, collect the medical box from behind the fuselage and move it to the nearby motorcycle.

With Other Man’s Blood

After leaving the hostile area with the medical box, the mission will begin with a drive to the camp and a cutscene. This will be recorded separately in the journal.

I Could Use a Hand

After completing Earning Our Keep: You See What They Did, visit Boozer at Iron Mike’s camp to unlock a new weapon: Boozers Shotgun. You will also receive experience points and reputation.

Riding The Open Road

After completing Ricky: I Got a Job for You (Earning Our Keep), a new task will appear in the diary. Speak to a girl on the radio and return to Cascade on O’Leary mount to retrieve Boozer’s bike.

Retrieve Boozer’s bike from the abandoned camp.

Be cautious as two enemies will be waiting for you at the site. If you use fast travel, you will encounter them immediately. After obtaining the bike, you will be teleported to Iron Mike’s camp, where a cutscene will end the task. Completing this mission will reward you with a new paint for the motorcycle and mark the end of the He’s My Brother storyline.
