What is the Rapport system?
Rapport is the romance and relationship system in Lost Ark that allows players to build relationships with various characters across different continents. These characters are marked with heart icons and are located in cities/settlements. Relationship progress is unlocked at the end of the main storyline in Longhill, and players will encounter more characters as they progress.
The Rapport panel can be accessed by using the Ctrl N shortcut. Here, players can view the unlocked and unlockable characters they can improve relationships with, claim rewards, review available rewards, and check current progress without visiting an NPC.
Hovering over the trust level shows the number of points needed to level up the relationship.
Why increase Rapport?
The primary purpose of the rapport system is to earn rewards. For every relationship level, players receive a specific reward, usually an Ancient Silver Coin that can be traded in the inventory for 1000 silver. Additionally, maxing out a relationship is required to complete the Adventurer’s Tome. Some NPCs offer rare or unique rewards for increasing the level, which can aid in making more progress.
How to increase Rapport?
Players can improve their relationship with an NPC every day for free by interacting with them. The available features appear in the bottom left corner of the screen during interactions, and players can use gifts to increase rapport faster.

- NPC quests – When you reach specific relationship levels with some people, they may offer you side quests. Completing these quests not only increases your relationship level but also blocks progress until they are finished. Sometimes, these quests can even help to improve your relationship with another NPC.
Sometimes, you may be unable to take on an NPC quest which can block your relationship with that person for a while. This can happen if you complete a similar unique quest for another NPC or if you lack the necessary character attributes, such as kindness. To view these required attributes, click on the locked mission when talking to the NPC.
Occasionally, when you receive a quest from an NPC, your relationship with them will be blocked until you complete it.
Both Songs and Emotes are unlocked as you progress through the story, complete side quests, and receive rewards for other activities (such as making progress in collecting secrets or expanding the Adventurer’s Tome). These activities each add a set amount of points to your relationship, but there is a daily limit on how many times you can do them. Gifts also improve your relationship and are limited to 99 pieces. Gifts
Gifts are rare items with a heart icon. The most common ones increase your rapport by 300 points, while the most expensive can increase it by 10-20 thousand points. Each NPC has a visible list of their favorite items (check the Preferred Gifts tab). Some items can increase your relationship a little bit more – often by 30-60 points. You can obtain gifts during main or side missions, but they are very rare. You can also purchase them from the in-game store.
Another way to get gifts is through Wandering Merchants – traders who appear in specific locations at specific times. However, they are very expensive – a typical lower-level item (which provides a 300-point relationship increase) costs 10,000 silver. Moreover, only one piece is available at a given merchant.
Alternatively, you can visit Nada – a merchant in Lutherra Castle. She will allow you to trade in Providence Stones – a special “currency” that you receive for completing quests. Initially, these are small amounts, but by the fourth continent, you may receive several hundred “hearts”.

You can choose one of the chests for 2,500 Providence Stones, which will give you a random prize. These prizes are divided into continents – by improving your relationship with an NPC from a selected continent, you can receive a small bonus for giving them a gift.
